About Us

Founded in 1997 as a security consultancy, Eyethu Events was established in 2000.

Our name, Eyethu, meaning “ours” in Zulu, encapsulates our all-encompassing responsibility for the events we keep safe and secure, ensuring every aspect is meticulously planned and executed.

Managing Director

He is a pivotal figure in the Event Safety Compliance and Security Management sector which he has nurtured over the last 25 years. His vision for Eyethu Events from the company’s inception in 2000, continues to offer comprehensive, integrated and sustainable solutions in the Safety and Security sector. The company is proud to have Phil at the helm and looks forward to the future with his consistent and innovative approach to benefit both customers and suppliers in a positive manner for successful and outstanding events.

Sue Prinsloo

Financial Director

The Financial Directorship rests on the shoulders of this formidable, energetic and profoundly accomplished member of the Management Team, ensuring the financial health of the company in an efficient and effective manner to achieve Eyethu Events deliverables without compromising on quality and fair trade.

Zenzo Ndlela

Operational Manager

He is an integral member of the Eyethu Events family, having walked the road with Eyethu Events from 2000, as a prodigy under Phil’s wing from security trainee to Operational Manager, bringing extensive operational experience with him not only locally but internationally with a plethora of events throughout Africa and a few international platforms during his significant journey with Eyethu Events over the last 25 years.

Shaun Pretorius

Safety Officer

He is an inspiring contributor of the Eyethu Events management team in the Safety Compliance portfolio with his comprehensive knowledge and expertise gained from management of both local and international projects over the past 16 years, ensuring compliance in safety and security aspects of the event.

Jo-Ann Coelho

Project Manager & Safety Officer

She compliments the management team as not only Project Manager but a competent safety office identifying customer needs and translating these into the compliance and safety requirements for successful implementation of the event.

Glyn Broomberg

Operational Manager & Safety Officer

He brings a wealth of experience to the Operational and Safety Management facets of the company. He has headed up the Compliance, Safety and Security for events internationally, in the Middle East and Africa and brings this expertise to benefits of Eyethu Event’s customers and service providers.

Riona Benjamin

Admin Manager

She heads up the Administration Division of Eyethu Events and has been with the company since 2010 and is an integral part of the management team ensuring operational and financial requirements are met in an efficient and effective manner. Her expertise is invaluable in the day-to-day inhouse management of the Company.

Wayne Dicks

Safety Officer

He recently rejoined the Eyethu Events family after a two-year break during his 16 years with our family. Wayne as Safety Officer will be Complimenting the team of Safety Compliant experts to manage and ensure operational safety and compliance requirements are met through interaction and approval from local authorities to the effective implementation at events.
